Can I make a contest with a prize?

I wanted to donate a $30 gift card and make a competition that would benefit sythe. I use the lottery idea where you get one guess but I mix something up. It will last a week and winner gets it in the mail via registered mail.

Edit: I will not be making any money off of this..

Well I could but that would cost more because of having to pay 2 shipping fees. I will take pictures with my sythe name and gift card together. I am $25 donator and there's nothing to scam because I am not getting anything out of this, :laugh: :laugh:.

 

I think more people would enjoy some RSGP than a giftcard.

 

Well I will offer RSGP in exchange for the prize but it will be less then the worth of the card(45-50mil RSGP). I want somebody to enjoy the food gift card. Comment on the idea and let me know.

Well I will give RSGP as an alternative if your not USA but it will be less RSGP then the giftcard is worth.

from my knowledge your allowed to host a raffle without admin approvel, i've done two, but everyone must know the mods/admins have nothing to do with it if you get scammed, however i'm not sure if this works for community genereal

If you haven't yet bought the giftcard, then why not just give the $30 via PayPal or something?

 

I don't see why not, give some people some incentive to do trades / donate, and since you don't 'buy' tickets, there's no harm to be done at all to anyone. Hope you can get this approved by an admin

If not a gift card I think a split the pot kind of thing would be cool, were like every one pays dollar and the winner gets half of the money andsythe gets the other half, and at that time the person could just say count it as a donation from myself, this could also be done with rsgp, and every 1mill or $1 you put in you get that many pieces of paper with your username on it. Just an idea, I like what your doing an I'd like to be a part of it.
