    First off sorry if this is wrong section / not allowed...

    I was interested in doing business with Div in purchasing one of his kindle fire's..

    But then his thread was closed randomly... http://sythe.org/showthread.php?t=1305209

    A mod even purchased from him with no problem and then days later locked...

    He socially engineers them, them being whatever they are. Social engineering is on the same page as scamming thats why it has been locked. He gets it for free and sells for profit, that is the sole goal for socially engineering things.

While it is similar to a confidence trick or simple fraud, the term typically applies to trickery or deception for the purpose of information gathering, fraud, or computer system access; in most cases the attacker never comes face-to-face with the victims.
