Can anyone explain Void Knight equipment to me?

Sorry if this is an extremely nooby topic but I've been away from the game for a while and reading up on things and apparently there exists superior and superior elite version of the Void Knight armor available now. Obtainable not through Pest Control, but from a chain of quests?

However, the wikipedia pages do not make it clear if they do indeed have better stats/effects? It's extremely vague and leads me to assume they are just rank/cosmetic differences and the bonuses are the same. Is this correct or incorrect? Havent got a clue =\

 

I believe you get elite void from the completion of various quests leading up to the final quest which is "The void stares back". Note that I haven't played the original version of the game since 2012 and did that quest back in 2011, so thats as much information as I can give at this moment.

 

This is partially correct. You will need to complete The Void Stares Back for the elite void knight top. The remaining void pieces, as well as their elite and superior elite upgrades, must be bought with pest control points.

 

Are the bonuses better? Or is it purely aesthetic?

 

If I recall correctly, it gave prayer bonus or something over the regular version in pre-eoc? In RS3, void armor is probably garbage.
