hello i was just wondering how to get camtasisa clips into my sony vegas because i have had them both for a while but my camtasia cilps wont go into my sony vegas. post or pm meh.

Ok when you're recording with Camtasia you should configure it to record in the .WMV format as this is a format that Sony Vegas will let you import.

My personal recommendation though would be to switch to CamStudio (100% free open-source recording software), use it to record in .AVI and then use Windows Movie Maker on the .AVI to add special effects/titles and/or convert it to the .WMV format that Vegas will accept. PM me your MSN if you'd require more assistance.

yeah make sure you save your clip as a format sony vegas can edit, if you save it to the default camtasia format, it will not allow you to edit it with anything but camtasia.......

Yeah, it's simple to do. Open Camtasia Recorder, then click Tools > Options. At the top, if it isn't on the "Capture" button, click it. On the file section, you'll have two options, save as .CAMREC and save as .AVI. Pick .AVI. Open Sony Vegas, click Explorer, and then go to the Folder the file was saved to (Usually Documents > Camtasia Studio), and when you've found the file drag it to the TimeBar. Yay, done! Now crop, add titles, music, and effects.

To produce, click on file, and then produce, and I would recommend to use a .WMV file, as it has good quality and a low size. Now upload to YouTube. Woot.
