    Hey guys,

Is training with full void at caged Ogre's efficient?

What I mean is does the cannon utilise the void effect or is using max range gear better?

    Also knives or crossbow?

Think I know the answer to these but want to reaffirm

    Cheers

Your cannon isn't affected by void, it only uses the attack bonus of the style that you're currently on. Not exactly sure if the xp/hr you lose from not using void would be offset by the extra xp/hr you get from a greater cannon accuracy - I'm inclined to think that it would be, so using max gear would probably be better in this scenario. And knives are definitely the better option for training.

Hmm, if that's the case then wouldn't the extra range bonus (which is a fair bit if I'm correct) from using a crossbow be more effective? (for the cannon anyway, as I'm currently only 50 range)

Oh, didn't think you were that low of a level. In that case, using a crossbow might be better because the majority of your xp would be coming from the cannon. At higher levels (70+?) switching over to knives would be better.

As stated in my second post, I'm only 50 range.

But I'm gonna give max range bonus a shot. Currently making 35k-40k xp/hour (using void and iron knives)

    Thanks for the inputs though

Edit: Getting between 50-55k xp/hour now

If you wish to cannon, which isn't a bad idea at all, you shouldn't be using void but high attack bonus. Good luck with training. :)

Void/knives wouldn't be a bad idea though. Depends on your laziness. :)

I'd advise void/knives till 70+ then use a cannon once you're able to wear black D'hide.

Yeh, I tested it with the best range gear I could afford and I was getting 50k-55k xp/hour compared to 35k-40k xp/hour using void.
