C4D Whoring, are we still doing this?

So I haven't been on in a while, since 2013 really. I've noticed that majority of the user generated graphics on the forum sits in that almost YouTube gaming theme. You know, the typical C4D 3D Text, a lot of high contrast filters, more C4Ds, and render images related to whatever the graphic is for. What's up with this? Are there any actual designers that use this forum? By actual designer I mean someone who's design knowledge is further than being able to use MoText and lives off of what they do? Sorry if I sound snobby, it's a genuine question.

 

The market we are catering to requests it.

 

Understandable, I should've thought about that earlier. I guess that's what the market wants. But trends don't last forever.

 

As Soul said, the market likes this type of graphics. I don't pretend I am a 'real' graphic designer and don't intend to make a living off of graphics. I have a niche that works for me and I probably wouldn't be great at more realistic graphics (greeting cards, product advertisements, logos, etc.) Sythe is the only market that I found easy to profit from and easy to do well.

Another thing about Sythe, flashy graphics=visibility. Something that works well as a real advertisement wouldn't do well on a site like Sythe. Just my opinion, however.
