Prime is the most basic (though, not by much) as far as amount of features, but offers an even sampling across the several different fields of 3D modeling (including animation, post production, and of course modeling). It's the best choice for less-than-professional/recreational/educational use.

Broadcast specializes in animation. It has everything Prime has, plus more features to facilitate the creation of animation and footage enhancement.

Visualize specializes in architecture, designers, and photographer-related work. Like Broadcast, it has everything Prime has, plus advanced features for lighting, environmental settings, textures, and rendering tools. It looks like it also has the functionality that Broadcast offers thrown into the mix as well.

Studio is all of the three previously mentioned versions wrapped into one, and is basically the best they have to offer. Whether that's because of the combined features, or because of other performance enhancements, I don't know.

To answer your question, they can ALL do what you might ever need it to do in your lifetime. All that's left is for you to decide how much you want to pay for the same program with a little more features than the previous version. Of course, let's be honest, you're probably pirating it anyway so might as well go straight for Studio

Oh, I read it as you're switching from demo to a full version. tbh you're wasting your time sticking with the demo. Either you only get like 30 days to use it (which is no where NEAR enough time to learn enough to do what you want) or you only get a poor sampling of the functionality, in which case you're better off finding a freeware alternative

I'd get cinema 4d studio if you have the space on your drive.

It'd be worth splashing out just this once to get the full version once your trial is up though - you can't really master 3D signatures in just one month :)

It's really expensive. Studio can clock up to $2k easily, and you'll never earn that amount in a reasonable time frame using it.

As Noam stated, don't go @ buying it. Unless you actually have that kind of money to spend on a program. I assure you that almost everybody that uses the program here on Sythe didn't get it 'the right way'. That includes myself.

Sly ;) I'm not sure it's actually possible even for the most professional graphics artists to earn that much in the little time between each Cinema 4D release...
