Was Worndering What It Would Be Like To Create Your Vary Own Game. Just Like World Of Warcraft and Runescape. But Like Better. haha. honestly. we should create a team to start this project!

 

It would be a long project without a team of Experienced coders =p On the topic of games thought I've been meaning to learn C++ To build a Pokemon style Runescape xD

And for the quest How to create it Your best bet would be doing this in Java if you've never done anything in coding before hit up moparscape and download a RSPS and start coding it using Tut's when needed. You'll learn from them and from there you'll get the understanding on how games like RS work and start to code your own from scratch =p

All so a 317 Source would probably be the best to start with

If you make your only goal game development, you'll fall hard. Game development is one of the most difficult branches of programming there is, it's really no easy task to get into let alone master. To start you off, learn some C#, thenewboston.com has good tutorials for that. Once you know what you're doing with C#, look up some XNA tutorials or Unity tutorials and get started.

Keep in mind that coding is only part of games. You need art assets, and a lot of them. Every little detail in a video game that you see was crafted by an artist. An open-world game like RS or WoW is an INFINITELY huge project to pursue, that requires a large and very talented team

If you want to make RS or WoW better, I'd suggest, like NameGuy said, to do some RSPS development or WoW private server development. For WoW you'll need C++ and for RS you'll need Java.
