Buyouts on RS.

Simply because of the larger number available and because they are quite easy to obtain.

Yeah, You would have to be a idiot to think that you could buy out godswords, I think you should do something like..emeralds or something like that. Good Luck.

All these issues may be problems to the rookie investor, however all I can see is that these arent real problems. Because they arent exactly easily obtainable, and even less so for the average consumer. The few items of stock which do make it onto the market ensure that both there is no finite number of stock and they can be bought out by the investors.

I have drawn up a chart of the projected price increase:
xxxxxxxx.jpg

According to the chart it would be a sound investment.

This just proves it will take longer. Nothing is going to rise that much unless you have it bought out for like 2 months. Just drop it.

Woah there buddy, who said it would be easy? Read my post! I stated it would be both difficult and funky.

Are you kidding me! Just let it go. It would be a stupid investment and wouldn't work , Think about it. Just forget it.

Please. You have done nothing but spam this thread with your poorly thought out ideas, if you're not going to add anything productive please don't post at all.

I asked you before, why exactly. "Just think about it" is not a valid argument.

Are you a Player Mod yet too? I noticed you had that thread locked. Make sure to make another one when you get some proof :)

Your saying I'm spamming when half your post's are off topic, I'll be the mature one and drop it, I think you get the picture that it was a idiot idea anyway.

Look buddy, you wont let this drop will you? This will be my final response to your inane off-topic rubbish. "I think you get the picture that it was a idiot idea anyway" is not grammatically correct, in the event you were proposing that my calculations were off I have redone my numbers and this is the final graph.

I have included the final dump as well as random injections of stock from run of the mill monster drops and such, so no matter how you look at it god swords will turn a profit.

Your theory is correct, your logic is flawed....

Do you know HOW much money you NEED to buyout GS? Assuming the members each have 1 billion to invest. That's approximately 55 GS per person assuming they buy the cheapest one on the market.

Furthermore, many high levels have invested money into expensive items and equipments. The moment your buyout starts hits a certain point. Say bye bye to your market due to the influx of people selling their own GS.

I'm not an experienced investor, but I say this, your no fucking expert yourself. Stop attacking other people and prove your own point. A simple mathematical model doesn't represent a fluctuating, DYNAMIC variable...

There are two issues with your argument.

1. The amount of capitol necessary to manage a buyout of a GS would be SUBSTANTIAL, if not impossible, unless you can manage to get together a team of 100b+ I would imagine.

2. Those numbers look great in the real world I imagine, however in the real world we dont have the GE ; )

Totally not trolling but...

Like it has been said before, no one will invest in nothing.

im currently botting - will post images when im done .

the item we will be buying out is a hugely botted item - and with the number of bots today will take a huge amount of gp to raise.

however, 1-5b will be enough. dumping wont be an issue. may have to wait 3-5 months for a 150% return

How can it take a huge amount of gp to raise, yet at the same time a small amount will be enough.

And Nate if anything the GE environment adds support to my calculations as it is a somewhat more controlled environment and thus nothing totally out of the blue will be able to crash the market.

I redid the numbers and came up with this graph to fit the GE model

I agree with nate, This is runescape not the real world, Think before you post.

For a player mod you're not very helpfull. Do you have any proof that you are infact a player mod? I noticed you had that thread locked.

The Grand Exchange provides a more structured, easy to manipulate environment then the 'real world' does. The fact that were playing runescape is therefore a good thing, as its easier to make a profit.

Niini, for your arguments to have any sort of substance, you're going to have to explain how you chose f(x) = 2^x and f(x) = 2^x / lx-7l for your predictions of what the item will do.

You seem to have forgotten that GE items update in 5% increments, and cannot grow infinitely fast for that muchsame reason.

can you lot stop spamming ?
