Buying PSN Account - Tips

I just bought a PS3 (previously had an Xbox) and I really cannot be bothered prestiging again on the COD's etc.
I am considering buying a PSN account, but I have no idea about the security and things on there are like. Like how easy is it to recover? What things should I do to secure it once it's bought?

 

TBH, you just need the email it was created with. I am pretty sure that's the only way. Oh btw, PS3 accounts are free. And Black Ops 2 allows you to completely have a "Fresh Restart" when you are at level 55. It brings you back to level 0, no stats no anything.

 

So the only way to recover is to have access to the email? Hmm.. are you sure?
I am aware about the fresh restart thing, as I'm 3rd prestige on Xbox.
