My friend did give me a level 113 mod with 1900+ total level- I changed the recoveries the same day he told me I could have it, and been playing on it since. It hasn't gotten locked. Speedster if you're interested, I know this is the characters 3-59 thread, but it's the first one I found. Just keep in mind that I AM NOT THE ORIGINAL OWNER.

Jagex repeatedly urges you to change your password and your recovery questions often to keep the security of your account at optimum level. Wouldn't these advisements count torwards player moderators too, and even more so with their upgraded status. Somehow, the ignorance of this community stops me in my tracks and forces me to make a post trying to clear up the shit.

Even remotely helpful dickery is far better than incessant trolling and UNhelpful dickery at every turn.

An I.P. address can tell you a lot about a person. Resolving I.P. addresses can give you information like a service provider, continent, state and even city. If Jagex takes the time to filter changes in resolved hosts and sees that a player moderator started logging in from Germany when he has been accessing the account from California for three years is a bit of a red flag in my opinion. Chances are that Jagex won't take the time to check for such changes, because they'd have to comb through every account seperately looking for said changes. I hope I made a difference in your lives.

 

I had bought a p mod account from my neigbour and the change of ips got its mod status tooken away.... I think the only way you could do this is send them a message saying that you moved houses

 

A good majority of ISP's will not provide its customers with a static ip address (one that does not change). This said, every time you turn the router off and on the ip address will completely change. It is absolutely rubbish to say that a change in IP addresses will raise a red flag among the thousands of player moderators.

People people, stop arguing this point just because it gives you a place to gain +1 in post count.

I've seen four of the people I know in-game become moderators after being inspected there, and having other players reccomend them there.

If any of them wish to sell their accounts, or if I become one ( Chances are low now because I'm sure they know who I am ) I'll contact either you or spyike.

Interesting! The issue is, most of the accounts I've ever played on were involved in one way or another with suspicious activity (RWT or botting), so even if they did happen to consider what I have to say on that thread they'd inevitably see that a red flag was raised at one point or another on my account. Thus, this confines me to being required to purchase a moderator account.

I'd really appreciate it if you were able to send one of your friends my way if they showed some mild interest. Even if they're hesitant, we could just talk it out and see how it goes from there.
