Buying lvl 80-85 acc, vs powerleveling

So I am playing the wow trial now, my friend already has a lvl 85 acc and I would like to play with him and raid. If I level 10-85 I have heard it will take 1 month of 4-5hrs a day or so. I am a busy person and don't mind spending $200 instead of spending hours a day to level. I see accounts on websites that are already 80-85 for $200 or so with gear and all. Is there any chance of those getting recovered? Or should I just get my account powerleveled from 1-80 for $130 or so and then do the last 5 levels my self? And are there any problems with accounts getting stolen from that?

Or you can power level from 1-85 in under 2 weeks. Basically quest to 85 if you're a pure dps class..
If you're a healer or a tank run dungs as tank/healer.

    i recommend that you don't buy a level 85 for 2 reasons:

    1. you will get scammed. It is inevitable that the owner of the WoW account will take it back, no matter how much info they give you

    2. you will take a month anyway just learning how to play your class properly.

I honestly would level up to 85 yourself. That way there is no risk of being scammed and you truly learn the mechanics of the game.

First thing you should know, WoW accounts are hell easy to recover. If the seller knows one of the CD Keys or Gametime keys, they can simply call Blizzard and get their account back in no time. You should seriously level and learn the mechanics of your class, not to mention, leveling is actually quite fun too. If you buy an 85 account, you wont have a clue what to do in endgame, and you'll seriously just get bored after a day or two, due to lack of knowledge (people aren't to kind to "ebayers" or people who have no idea how to play).

There are still ways to get past that. People still can xfer characters over to another account. All you have to do is have the person your buying the account from change the last name of their account. when thats done you can xfer the character over to your account without risk of losing the account you bought.

The character will be on your account and even though they may have your accounts last name they still need your first name and secret question

edit* was trying to sell my hunter lol. then i remembered i shouldn't try to sell things here. but you can always just buy the toon and pay for the character transfer onto your account, and the seller wont be able to get his lvl 85 back cause its transfered onto your account already.

That's actually not quite true. If you transfer a character to a new account, it can still be recalled on you. There are ways to stop it, but that's info I won't share since it could be used to scam.

Anyone who deals in resold accounts, can't really guarantee accounts beyond a certain time, usually they only guarantee it for about 30-45 days. There are a few companies who sell pre-leveled accounts, but those accounts tend to be more expensive. Basically they level the accounts themselves. These are usually by-products from RAF powerleveling. The owners of these accounts could guarantee the accounts with a lifetime guarantee against being recalled.

There is also a chance you can find a company who still have some old level 80 pre-battle.net accounts. Take one of these, bind it to your own account, and then either level 80-85 (to learn the class) or have a trusted company do it.

I would personally just level it yourself. Its easier, and way less risky these days.
