I am looking to purchase a Half Wine Jug. I know Wernis is selling it for $1050. But I've seen r2pleasent sell one for $400 and czes's wine was going for around $500, So I don't want to overpay for one.

Maybe so, But I doubt czes was looking for / expecting a $1000 offer for the wine. Also I could just wait till someone sells as low as r2pleasent.

Thing is. In-game, Autowin for a wine is 2 blue partyhats, anyone with a wine would accept this offer, unless they REALLY wanted to keep their wine. I've seen wines go for blue + white, etc.

Blue Phat = $300?
White Phat = $200?

So if i was going for autowin, I'd take 2 blue phats which is $600 max. But obviously when you make a big trade, you try to spend least as possible.

Paying $1050 for a wine is ridiculous as you can just do the trade above on runescape forums. The only reason you wouldn't do that is if you didn't have the cash (Around 1b) Which if you don't, I don't see any points in being involved in the rares market.

 

Blue is ~400 USD imo. Havent seen many $300 sellers.

 

Wouldn't be difficult to get for $200 at all
