No. It's a graphics issue since your processor is just fine. I've got a pretty beast machine myself, I can run WoW on everything maxed except that shadows always have to be low (on GTA4 as well), but am getting a new card for xmas.
Back on track though, you can run WoW maxed smoothly if you've got the graphics and the processor with probably around 2GB of ram; ram is application storage not speed. If you're curious, here's my build:
AMD Athlon II X4 (630) @ 2.8GHz
4GB RAM (DD3 Kingston, 1033Mhz I believe)
500GB SATA2 Western Digital HDD
(Forget my mobo lol, but has DD3/AM3, 6 core support)
nVidia GeForce 9500GT, 1GB
Windows 7 Ultimate x64
Total might have come to around 600 bucks including the graphics card and power supply that I had from my previous machine (graphics card was around $120 when I got it new a few years back).
Oh also, wrong section
okay, that helps a lot, cause i was mindboggled why it was still slow after upping my internet and having 4g RAM.
BUT, my problem is, im running a laptop, and my dad is an IT manager/network administrator at two companies, and he seems to think that there might not be a card slot, and that it is built into my MB..
I have an HP Pavilion, do you know if thats true? I don't wanna open it up unless I have to because I don't wanna ruin it somehow.
