Buyer/Seller payment options.

It's come apparent that within the Runescape Market(mainly gold sales) that people go from thread to thread posting the same statement (i.e "I'll sell via PA for X amount/M.")

To me, this sort of seems as a way of spam/+1 post count.

What I propose is that sellers/buyers be required to list the payment options that they are willing to use during the transaction, and all posts regarding different payments be considered as spam so that these posts are no longer flooding the forums.

I believe that the amount of spam would be reduced, because normally people who have a set method of payment (or method of receiving payment) do not deter from that payment regardless of the suggestions.
I just don't see the need in posting that you're offering payment in something that was not listed in the inital post, but as a solution, that person may PM the said buyer/seller that they are offering alternatives.

I do not support this, it would be to difficult to enforce this on a regular basis. If it is considered spam just report it. And also just because it is not listed doesn't mean someone won't accept it (although it usually does) its not always the case. It would just be a mess to enforce, and even though it can be aggravating, its not that big of a deal.

Ive taught plenty of people how to purchase via PlayerAuctions when posting on sythe that they're paying through paypal.

In my opinion, it doesn't really make that much difference as only a minority do this anyway.

its just a marketing technique to get their product out there. Maybe the OP will change there minds and end up paying alternatively

 

It's also spam. They copy and paste from one post to the next. Saying the EXACT same things, when people bluntly say they are using a specific payment type.

 

I do that... but remember PA is a gateway to 3+ payment options...
