I could consult a lawyer all I want and Sythe staff could still see it as invalid if it violates sythe rules or their "opinons".

Why do you think I made a shit fit over $0? I need a clear ruling, by sitting as DNT for a couple days I stand to save thousands, if not tens of thousands of dollars by reworking future contracts around Sythe staffs ruling vs making contracts only to have sythe staff void them.

To the common sythe user I look like a moron right now because they don't know what I have in the works and what it involves.

I had 2 choices:

-Form a contract in the future with users regarding my project->Risk sythe staff voiding it->Lose thousands/tens of thousands because I didn't know how Sythe staff would rule on the contracts.

-Form a contract-> Get reported-> Make it clear I'm only after clarification-> Establish said clarification on contracts->Write contracts around Sythe staffs ruling vs potentially against their ruling-> Contracts are considered valid in the future due to the ruling on this case-> Massive $$$ saved

I played this fucking brilliantly and Ill get portrayed as another scam report which is fine since this will save me shit tons of money.

Note: I explained this to Away today and told him if he ever needs anything to HMU, it was nothing against him, I actually originally didn't plan for this to play out quite this way but when I realized how report-happy he was I was more than happy to take advantage.

I'm going to get a ruling I never expected to have, a GIANT unknown in the industry I'm entering will now have a precedence forever.

That was WELL WORTH the $50 and annoyance I caused.

It’s almost like you could’ve avoided the DNT by making a better contract which you seem to be incapable of doing, which is why you should hire someone else to make one for you. But I guess you played it brilliantly by losing thousands/tens of thousands of dollars

It had nothing to do with how the contract was wrote, it had everything to do with how sythe staff and the rules perceived the contract.

I didn't lose anything, the entire point of all this was to SAVE all that money.

Contracts in skilling/accounts are a massive blank slate/grey area/ ???

How are they perceived? Are all the terms valid? What's not considered valid? What is valid? Are contracts > sythe rules? Do contracts trump TOS? There's so many unknowns.

The ruling will clear up a potential disaster in the future, I always play the long-game.

 

So I guess saying “reasonable progress” which is subjective, rather than 92/92/92 was a brilliant move on your part? I guess it was to scout out the staff members next move even though I thought you knew the rules better than most of them. Actually no, When I made that contract my end game was not this.

Some of the terms weren't thought all the way through, I'm not going to say this was some grand manupliation because it wasent.

I had no plans to get a contract ruling ever, I expected to go into the industry with a blank slate and pray for the best.

Once away was so report-ready though I thought about it and realized I could actually turn a report into something positive, not just for me but for others aswell.

I will save thousands, if not tens of thousands, and it removes ALOT of risk in the industry for me and other sellers.

What is the state of contracts right now? Nobody knows.

Is it contracts>Sythe rules>TOS?

Sythe rules>contracts>TOS?

Like where do they fall? How important are they? There's SOOOO many unanswered questions.

 

He got reported over a difference of BTC rates and used the report to spam as many posts as he could before staff would tell him to stop making posts that didn’t help the report

 

You could have just asked for validity from an admin via pm or made a feedback/ suggestion post, situations like this where you hold someone's money as ransom are pathetic and you really need to reassess your approach to handling situations.

Honestly, you should have to stay with the DNT if this is how you'll handle future situations. You're basically temporarily scamming for your own gain...

Situations like these always seem to happen with you and you claim for it to be a brilliant move but your main intention behind it is usually to screw someone over for your own gain.

In a few days you'll be begging to have it removed, staff might remove it, and then you'll pull something similar a few weeks later. You'r basically using DNT as some sort of tool to get your own way.

Also I wonder if you thought of this, what if staff just say that each situation will be handled on a case by case basis and you get to go through the pardon process again to have the DNT removed.

Such a brilliant move...

 

I didn't hold a dime hostage, I was willing to give the money to Sythe staff within 5 minutes of the report going up.

I disagree, getting clarification on contracts is just me being able to protect my business, doesn't mean I'm screwing anyone over? This wont just effect me either.

People don't have to agree to contracts, if they choose to sign that's their choice. If a ruling can help protect my business and others business because I spent a few days as DNT then I'd say that's a good trade for everyone.

Honestly if you plan to use the lower of the BTC price at the intended time of payment or the price at the time of payment, write that into your contract. Think about what can go wrong, such as this situation, and write a plan in the contract that benefits you. It really isn’t that hard to figure out if it violates Sythe rules; if you do, that part of the contract is invalid. Otherwise it’s fine

 

Why did it have to come to the report? It seems that staff have to constantly decide who and what you have to pay... You said above that you figured out how to benefit from this situation and you decided to let away just report you. What were you expecting out of it, for them to not see that you put you would pay the usd amount and instead rule that the valuation would be done at the price of crypto as of a certain date?

If you get an invoice on the 15th of March that states usd and pay on the 22nd with cad. Do you pay the fx rate from the 15th or the 22nd? The fx rate here reflects the price of btc. You agreed to pay $650 usd, not $650 usd valued in crypto as of xx date.

If you interpreted your contract as you need to pay the price of btc as it is valued on the 9th, then your contract is very poorly written and you should consider creating a standard contract and having someone review it to avoid problems. This problem doesn't relate to other service providers, it just relates to you because most of them know how to uae common sense to interpret and read agreement.

 

I mean stealing someone’s money and then only giving it to them after they call the cops is still stealing

This is what I was referring to with @Wortel ... There was such a big problem because I couldn't take BTC because he didn't want to pay me in PayPal for my work I did on his site back in the day. In the end he claimed I had to wait a month until a dispute came up on him refusing to yet again pay me, he can claim he doesn't hold money hostage and he makes this and that but it's all fairytale bullshit because all he does is screws everyone for his own gain.
