The Internship (2013) is easily the best film of the decade

It's tasteful. Brilliant. The acting is stupendous. Vince Vaughan and Owen Wilson are easily the voices of our generation. The laughs are constant and the jokes are never stale. It provides real insight into the struggles of the aging boomer generation, as well as into the plight of Generation Y in seeking jobs. My personal interpretation also reveals that it sheds light on how we are becoming a Google-society: a society based entirely around instant gratification. This conclusion has extreme sociological ramifications and the film so eloquently describes these serious issues with a flawless comedic spin.

I cannot believe I hadn't seen this film sooner.

Have you seen this film yet, @Sythe ? I believe it should have its own subsection in Off Topic. It presents a ton of very interesting arguments against our current sociological paradigm that need to be discussed.

I have seen it, definitely subsection worthy. I'd even go as far as making a subsections within the subsection to discuss each scene.

 

Absolutely splendid. I'm personally rather impartial to the scene where the primary antagonist is introduced to our two unwitting primary protagonists in a bout of respect and friendship, just to have it turn sour at the drop of a hat. What an unexpected twist!

Yeah, I havent seen it yet, but it is in my itunes wish list. This is one of those movies that has to be paid for to be enjoyed, as you know you are helping out the actors and studio that helped make this masterpiece happen

 

This review was so excellent and insightful (not to mention thorough) that I decided to watch the movie and boy was I not disappointed. My main question was why they were wearing YMCA hats if they were working at Google. I found this perplexing. Anyways, thanks @Blupig and keep these excellent film analyses coming!
