If you just want someone to post a build then let me know and I can do that too =]

I actively play Arma, should you need someone to game with don't be afraid to hit me up.

I built my own pc, came out great. I can play most games on max; Skyrim, BF3, Fallout. I spent around 1000$ on it. I should point out, you won't find a computer for under 700-800$ that can run the games you like on High/Ultra. Arma is extremely CPU intensive and would require a powerful CPU & Motherboard. You'd also need a great graphics card to get the quality you'd like, and from there you'd be matching quality with all parts of the build. What I mean is: Don't spend all your budget in one place. You need a well balanced machine or you won't get a good performance. I had a friend who duked out for a great cpu and some amazing auxiliary features. Completely forgot the Graphics card and couldn't afford a good one.

I'd be willing to give you pointers or advice on builds if you'd like to discuss via pm or skype.

It won't be all that hard. Find a mobo for about $100 - $150. Get an i5 for $200 - $250 (check the benchmarks for them). Get 8GB ram for about $50. Find a HDD (this could be $70 - a lot depending on size... I suggest buying Western digital). Get a cheap case and find a cheap power supply (sign up for emails from newegg and wait for a sale... You can get a decent power supply for about $30). Then spend whatever you have left over on a graphics card. Even a $150 one will be decent, although not great. The graphics card will be the main expense if you really want to get amazing graphics.

^ Just make sure the GFX card has a good bit of dedicated video memory... 2GB+ is recommended, 1.5GB should be your minimum. Also, make sure the case has a decent amount of fans and good airflow.

Yea. Get 2GB and you will be much happier. Newer games love eating VRAM because they can.

I've had three of those Seagate drives fail. I definitely wouldn't recommend it.

I talked to the OP on skype last night and he is pretty much hellbent on a pre-built since canadian components are so much more expensive/he cba with doing an actual build lol.
