So how does Jagex treat botters lately?

Haven't played runescape in almost 2 years, and haven't botted heavily in longer. I botted the mess out of my pure, got like 11 different 99's on it and only got banned twice, once for one week, and then again for 2 weeks. I know that Jagex used to do the (1 week, 2 week, 3 week, 4 week, then perm ban) but I'm not sure if they still do that or if botting is instant perm ban now a days. I do not want to bot yet on 2007 scape because even a 1 week ban would put me so far behind everyone else, but I was thinking about maybe using a mouse recorder to do some alching maybe in a month or two to get 94 mage.

My question is, for those that have continued to play runescape and bot, if you did get caught, what was the punishment?

Your question and topic seems to be not just about 2007. But in 07's case. I highly doubt jagex will do much or care much unless the votes get 500k. On the new runescape the system is quite different. Sometime 2 warnings then a perm, rollbacks, etc, haven't got a clue about 07 as it's new! I was banned on EoC perm for firemaking bot though.

 

As I assume that Jagex will treat botters similarly or identically on either server, that's why I was asking about EOC punishments lately to apply that same system to 2007. I don't see why they would be more or less lenient on botters on the two different games as their stance on botters and their deserved repurcussions should remain consistent. As for your ban, that's what I was asking about, had you been banned before or was this a one time perm ban?

 

TBH mouse recorder will ban you much faster than a normal bot. With a mouse recorder, it ALWAYS doing the same thing and more change to be ban. With a bot, yes it does the same activity for hours BUT bots are safer because they turn camera, do some other stuff to keep more safe. To be even MORE safe, you can request a private bot so jagex wont see that you are using a bot
