Probably IRC. I am pretty fly, you know?
Im looking for someone who is actually good at using words and grammar properly, such as Shredderbeam, Sythe, Finn, and a few other people.

Ok, can someone point me in the direction of things I should read to broaden my vocabulary, and improve me spelling/punctuation?

I know this is short, but I could use some answers.

AND! I'd prefer to not use the dictionary, unless it is very important. The last time I tried to read the dictionary, I got about through the B's, and forgot most of the definitions of the words.

Finn's vocabulary is extraordinary. Best be asking him.

It's not a secret. Just start reading all kinds of books and then continue reading more similar to the ones you enjoyed. Assuming you understand the material you cover, and do genuinely read it quite thoroughly, your vocabulary should become much more intuitive over time.

How the fuck do you expect to broaden your vocabulary without the use of a dictionary?

My advice is keep your ears and eyes open for words that you do not know. When you find a word you don't know, write it down and look it up in the dictionary. Then try to use it in context when talking to people or writing something. Also, use the thesaurus to find synonyms of words you already know.

Nullware has a very good point, I used to have just HORRIBLE vocabulary, try to find interesting books that you DEVOUR to read. Then as you enjoy reading them just try to use context clues to understand words you don't understand. Also if you still don't know the meaning just look it up. Yes a thesaurus also helps learn the meanings of new words similar to words you already know so that makes it easier.

i don't read books and my vocabulary is pretty good.

Just use Firefox's spell checker, thats what I am doing.

Or use google's Chrome

Um alright. First off whoever says to read a dictionary is incorrect. No one reads the dictionary unless you have a serious mental issue (which should be taken care of). Its just too long, with too many words you will NEVER use. In my opinion you should go to the library, and just read. It makes no difference what you read as long as you read. You will pick up words that just stay with you, and you'll end up using them in the correct context automatically. You could also listen to other people talk (preferably intelligent people), you can pick stuff up from them. Hopefully this helps. Good luck grasshopper

Finn has a variety of insults and a great vocabulary.

90% of my vocabulary was from reading books and school
8% was here from other people like finn, shredder, and sythe
the other 2% of my vocabulary was from RuneScape.

Read high-level books that are above your comfortable reading level. Do this often, and your vocabulary/grammar will improve.

Learning another language that is similar to your native tongue (German if you're a native English-speaker) also helps.

Reading books and newspapers regularly will broaden your vocabulary.

I advice you to read alot, on the internet, or books.
I learned quite alot of English words and grammar rules at sythe.org and from the television (we have subtitles :D ).
Believe it or not, even from crappy videogames, like Runescape. So tell your parents that you are learning English when you're playing RS.

Key to great vocabulary is just to read all kinds of books. Eventually you will get use to the grammer that the authors use. If your reading a book and you don't know what a word means look it up. Don't just ignore it.

Yeah, thats it man. All you gotta do is read books, and books. Everyone is going to tell you the same thing, just keep reading
