    bro cant register?

Oh, I like the way you manage to show your arrogance and ignorance in a single post.
I do have a clue what I'm talking about. If you didn't realise, I get to see a multitude of banned users creating vader accounts, who talk about it on my IRC network. I don't know if you're definition of "slow" is taking an extra 2 mins or less to create an account...
Read SuF's post, who agrees with me completly about how much it doesn't slow anyone down. Or, you can juts look at how many vaders that are still getting banned :).
So HA, YOU don't talk about what you have no clue about, foolish boy.

HA, wrong again! (Okay I may be being pedantic here, but FireZ pissed me off, so meh). Just because we have NAT, doesn't mean that IP isn't unique to computer, because of course, it is. So yeah, please don't make such stupid statements in the future; it might make other people believe the same bullshit you do.

Damn right, but if this is the case, what the hell is the point in this "feature" anyway?

So, as you can see, we've established it's a useless feature that forces legitimate users to hide their real IP.

IP's aren't unique to individual computers on the internet. Go back to school.

HUGE difference between inside networks in your house and outside networks in the world wide web.

    $50,000 degree says so.

Thats right but you'd be surprised the people who can't get by it.

Yyour statement was wrong. IPs are unique to computers, just not once you're using NAT.

    Whatever floats your boat.

The thing is, we can only run so many I.P. searches a day and it is helping stop some people.

My question to you guys is this: Would you rather have this system or just vaders run wild?

The latter. Vaders still run wild. Not only that, but the staff seem to not care about this enough to even post to users telling them what's going on.

Look at this thread for example - http://ww1.sythe.org/showthread.php?t=926456.
That user hasn't been told anything. There are PLENTY MORE users in that position.

Perhaps if you told users in the message "This system is to stop ban evaders. If are a ban evader, or a legitimate user, please take the two minutes required to change your IP please" or something, it might be bearable, but as it stands, it's not in the slightest.

I vote remove it, and judging from the amount of other people that are either telling people to proxy (which is a danger if you happen to use the same proxy as a banned user), or who are having issues, like myself, I think many other people are.

Tyro took care of some threads of people with this problem earlier.

Being on a proxy with a banned user isnt too dangerous because we know whats a proxy and what is not. Just use them to register then post on your regular i.p.

I'll take care of that above post now also.

Well, I just don't think that telling people to use a proxy is solving the issues here at all. You said yourself that vaders get around it, we can see they do with the amount of vading that goes on.

I don't know what you want to do, continue using a useless "feature" even if it stops legit users doing what they need?
