Botting in DORM help?

Hey everyone, I live in a dorm, and theres not much internet to go around here.

I need a way to hack into our router and give my IP preferance bandwidth wise over other IP's. Therefore allowing me to do what I want, such as bot/homework.

Or, is their a way perhaps to use the connectivity of others computrs to support the programs running on mine? So have 6-7 computers helping my computer run a bot client?

Any help would be great, thank you very much!

I'm sorry but most people on this website have a hard time playing the game for more than ten seconds and prefer to bot that way we can still enjoy the game, and for other reasons like selling. Just about everyone here bots, and frankly enjoys it quite a bit.

Ot: I really wish I knew anything about hacking but is it even possible to do something like that? you could always purchase your own internet provider?

 

Heh good idea -- my college internet sucks too. But, after 5pm it goes faster.

You won't be able to hack into a University's Network unless you want to get expelled. Best thing to do is buy a cheap vps.

 

Ya probally not a good idea to hack your universitys network unless you completely know what your doing, if you actually wanna stay in school and dont ruin it over a virtual game then dont hack it.

 

Hey guys, well im thinking about Traffic Shaping. Anyone know anything about this? I really need to bot, and before I spend 60$ a month on my own ISP I want to try everything.

What about Jail-breaking my Iphone and tethering? Will it be fast?

I tried DDOSing others online, but it only helps for 30 minutes or so..

I think Traffic Shaping is the best way to go, but Ive never done it before.

I mean you could maybe "hack" your router by using a password generator/cracker, but I'm not sure if you can set your connection priority from your router. You could check to see if the power level of the router/wireless channel is at it's highest. If not, raise it-- it should increase overall wireless performance.

But really, you should try the tethering of the iphone before you attempt any illegal activities-- although I doubt it would work.

Also, you could look for any other wireless connections that might be better. If they is passphrased/has a wep key, there are several programs that could be used to crack it.

it sounds like a really bad idea to hack your dorms network. it sounds like disaster and consequences heading your way. i would suggest you rethink that. i also live in a dorm and i would not dare even using a proxy as i could get expelled for that.

 

If it is your router or one of your friends router you can access the config page. I'm assuming you know how. Get the mac addy of everyone who uses the connection. Go over to QoS and give everyone else bulk bandwidth, with yours at the highest priority. I also recommend re flashing your router with Tomato or DD-WRT for advanced options. Good luck.

 

you could buy a yagi design antenna from ebay, and play from other connections. there's a good design on there that costs about $130 and boasts a reach of 5 miles. lots of people use a router with default name/password, or go find a cafe close by that never changes their free wifi etc.

Seriously, just buy a VPS. You don't need to do all this technical shit no one has heard of, just to look smart. DDoS'ing other people online was definitely not the answer, and you should be banned for doing so, even if it was just to others in your dorm.
