Bot Tech VPS servers

Hi, I have been following this thread all the way through - though have not posted on it yet, so I feel like I should. I love seeing your amazing support throughout the course of the thread. I would love to test one of your VPS and could give you quality feedback prior to my actual purchasing of one. I have also PM'ed you, and am expecting one back. Thanks a lot!

 

Great, I'll give you an idea of where I am at. I created a host node and by accident loaded a 32bit OS on it. I then created a VPS image and realised my mistake. So I'm re-imaging the host node with a 64bit OS so I don't bump into RAM limitations. I'm installing the 64bit now and then all I need to do is migrate the VPS images over and I'll set you up =).

 

Although the votes Don't show it...RiD ISSSS the best , With proven facts.

But Nexus has more ranged. I voted Nexus for that reason , But prefer RiD

 

RiD is most notable for it's amazing A.I and human like interactions with the game. There is no doubt it is the best bot in these areas.

There are a few reasons RiD sucks on VPS servers.

1. Most VPS servers are linux based and RiDs use the winAPI to move the mouse so they don't work on UNIX or Linux based OS. (I am well aware you can virtualize windows environments but right now this isn't a priority)

2. RiDs aren't client-script based there a simple java client that takes commands from a server and moves the mouse on the desktop. (Ok so it's a client but you get what I mean)

3. Finally because it can only run on windows this opens up a whole bunch of new security features I would have to add to safeguard users against any chance of having their info stolen.

RiD = Awesome but not practical on VPS. Maybe in the future they will be added when we switch from an Openvz container to a Xen container.

 

RID is also extremely expensive.

We are switching our container manager to Xen. It is slightly less efficient than Openvz but much more stable. We feel this is the better choice. Testers and those of you who have purchased sessions if your server is down do not worry we will be back up ASAP and lost time will be rolled back.

PS. We will not raise prices! Our goal remains the same cheap VPS for the whole sythe community.

 

Whatttt?? Only reason I decieded to go with another VPS was because you guys weren't on Xen.. But if your on Xen now.... Shittt time for me to cancel my recurring payment.

 

Awesome, when I originally saw your comment I thought you were leaving us because we were swittching to Xen. I was thinking...1. Xen only has perks over Openvz (except maybe Ram Burst) and 2. Did you have a recurring subscription with us. =p But after re-reading it makes more sense. Don't cancel it yet though I want to get more servers up online first! That way we can better accomodate the massive amounts of requests to try out our servers.

Excellent news it's taken almost a week but we have finally migrated all of our VPSs to Xen! We are already seeing a huge jump in stability and practically no JRE errors!

It depends what type of bot you are trying to run. We recommend 2 bots for 2gb of RAM because we can guarantee stability.
