Not really, never before (in my experience) have I seen Jagex search around any RS cheating related forum to gather evidence to ban. It just recently within the past month or so has Jagex really clamped down on banning people for macroing and RWT and I've never seen them go as far as to looking onto other sites for evidence!

 

They are, what I describe as, a no life mod who releases his frustration on Runescape by banning others to give himself feelings of satisfaction

Did you happen to know any Jagex moderators by any chance that knew you were active over here? I have my doubts it was solely because of the name similarities. XD

 

It very possible, all of the big cheating/bot/market sites are no big secret.
They can easily google

"Runescape Name" (with quotes for exact match) Sythe (or Villavu, TriBot, RiD, etc.) but they can't really ban for name alone, he happened to post hard evidence too.

ex: Search: ("07Nerd" Sythe) and on the first page you can see his thread "20 day ban - Sythe.Org Forums" http://www.sythe.org/runescape-2007-cheating/1565765-20-day-ban.html on which there is an image of his ban.

 

It's their job lol...

They are paid to get people banned(and work on game content and stuff like that of course), I'd work for them if they offered me a job like that :/
