Well they managed to nuke their whole player base so far.

And to the guy '60% of their membership sales' ...What a crock of shit, don't make up numbers, you're no where near close, it's more like 8%, if that, they don't give a flying fuck about a poxy £200,000-£300,000

A London based company taking legal action against an American client. It's an empty threat. The time and money it would cost Jagex to pursue a civil case against another player is much, much greater than they could win from a lawsuit, and even if the terms of the suit was to make the defendant pay for the cost of court, it would be a media nightmare for Jagex.

Ignore this Fey Warrior asshole, he's just full of himself.

 

While the statistics and values may be bullshit, Jagex is the kind of company to attempt to milk ANY money they can from their players. To ANY business, big or small, 200 grand is alot of money and can be the different between profit and going bust.

 

I don't think many people can get on to play. I know I sure can't.

 

The only people who will get banned will be the morons who nearly suicided at frost drags, flax fields, and any other gold farmers. If you must bot, only do things like herblore at the bank for now

I don't think they would take legal action against a player botting, but maybe the creator of a botting client. That may be sensible

What seems to have happened is that Jagex allowed their client to be able to be ran on older versions of Java, they've now changed it so You need the latest Java update for the game to work, it must be something related to the new Java patch, which is funny because it means most of the bot-nuking wasnt even any of their own work.
