    A very good setup w/o monitor is about 600$ , (Desktop speaking) is a Amd II x4, 16 GB memory *2x4* , Noctua 92mm sso cooler, Gigabyte mobo, and a 6770 graphics, along with a 500w power supply will do wonders in the botting world.

    Spend £4500 on an insane tower, which comes with 6 monitors (24"), 24gb of ram, and a 6 core i7 extreme, as well as 4th internal memory, liquid cooled CPU, and 6 fans. Also 3 nvidia gtx450 gfx cards, as well as other insane shit. That's what I'm getting anyways gradually XD

    Still my question wasn't answered: What is minimum CPU and RAM I need on a machine to be able to run 5 bots like frost dragons, idung and auto soulwars?

    Just purchase a dedicated server, with like 12-24gig ram and hexa core cpu... you won't have any problems then neither you'll need to buy laptops.

    This depends on how crowded the area is. Soulwars and Frost Dragons will use a lot more CPU than it would if you ran IDung.

    I would go with a powerful desktop;

    • Looks organized, don't have to run to other laptops/desktops to look at bots.
    • Will not overheat, whereas it will most definitely die before satisfaction on laptop.
    • Will not look obvious on what you do at home and will take less space.

    VPS's would go alot better imo, and you could have a couple expensive computers to run 1-3 bots or more on each. that my opinion.

    Buy VPSes.

    Or you could build physical servers and stack them up. Then download Windows server and throw it on them or something.

    And there I was thinking people here might know a thing or two about botting and not give off-topic advice they pull out of their ass to raise post count (this doesn't go to all of you but still)...

    My conclusion is basically that with $3000 I could buy 2-3 powerful PCs which could run about 20 bots altogether.

    But as I stated, space and logistics is not an issue so I decide to invest in used PC parts - Duo core CPUs and sticks of RAM for 4GB per machine which is enough to run 4-5 bots on one machine. I should be able to assemble about 7-8 barebone PCs with 1 monitor/keyboard/mouse and a switch like this and be able to run maybe even 2 times as more bots than if I went for expensive machines.

    If you buy a powerful computer with good processor and enough RAM (all that is needed for botting), you can easily run 20 bots just on one computer.

    On my Intel Core i7 2600, I am running 19 NeXuS bots without using much of the computer, I can even go up to 30 NeXuS if I wanted to which I will soon. This is the computer I have and am talking about, real beast;

    I do also see the off topic answers which is why I am answering seeing as you're not getting the required help.

    Yes, it is a good one.

    I can take pictures of the bots running and show all the comp specs as well as the CPU/RAM usage if you'd like, wouldn't bother me to show you but I'm not sure if the method does matter that much that it's letting me run more than I were to run other methods. What I bot is empty so it can definitely be compared to IDung.

    Add more RAM to that computer though, RAM is a bit low and if you leave your computer on for days, RAM kinda builds up until you restart the computer.

    Would you mind telling me what heatsink you're using, what your temperatures are like, whatnot.
    Because for me it almost seems like Nexus takes up more cpu usage than RSBuddy, I could be crazy, but I mean :eek:

    What settings are you using on the Nexus client?

    I'm not sure how to tell you my heatsink as this is a prebuilt computer and not custom built. Here are my temps;

    [IMG]

    My setting on NeXuS client is at default (50 100 50). 2 tabs in each client except for 1 client which has 1 tab.

    I have Firefox with 1 tab, Skype, MSN, NeXuS bots open. CPU usage is at 40%-46%.

    Hmmmph.
    I'm running like 10 RSBuddy bots, and my CoreTemp is saying around 68C. I have the same processor as you. I wonder if I started using my nexus bots if they would keep my temps lower.

    Use "Less CPU" feature on RSBuddy if you haven't done so already and that should take it down a lot lower or the heatsink is not as great as mine or maybe your method consumes a lot? IDK, something similar to those.

    I mean, hmm.
    I'm currently using the Less CPU, but I will give a lot of my nexus a chance.
