I'm sorry, Trent--you seem like a smart guy--but posts from you and other RiD diehards are full of these confirmation biases. Just accept that Jagex has bested the RiD system, and pray that your new 2.0 is something that is more undetectable. Unless RiD hires Chinese workers to play for you, it's impossible for it to be completely undetectable, even with following the guidelines.

 

pretty sure JAG allows jagex to see which type of client is being used, if they can give certain computers access through JAG, I'm sure they can track which program you are using to access or play with runescape, only way I can see Jagex knowing it was RID being used

Still going with some powerbot scripts and still have 0 bans, I guess i am what 5 up on RID. I unfortunately lost my 2 week proggy, but what can you do I guess.

You really shouldn't make assumptions because Assume makes an Ass of U and Me.

Mazime was perm banned for macroing when he was doing 72 hours legit at Soul Wars. His account being banned was the deciding force that made him start botting.

TL;DR

Banned playing legit -> Starts botting in retaliation.

Also, if the bot was actually detectable following Guidelines, then why, in over 4 years, has there not been ANY bans following Guidelines, period. By 2011 there was over 600,000 hours botted by the community, and it's definitely even more since 2012. Surely if the bots were detectable following Guidelines we would see bans by now. I've even contacted Jagex via email and asked them to monitor my account for an influx of randoms. I continued to bot every day, and I managed to get a response from them saying it had something to do with me failing the prison pete random, but that everything seems to be fine and they will manually fix that problem for the time being. If it were detectable, surely I would have been banned through this inspection? Aufi, one of the Super Mods did the same thing, which is where I got the idea from, and he botted 15 hours a day during that inspection. Still no ban.

Obviously you've never used RiD because it plays controlling your mouse through the browser on RS's official site, or through Jagex's official RS client. So yeah, your logic is invalid

Your logic is fucking terrible.

The RiD Guidelines are everything that make you look EXACTLY like a human. Following them = blending in with humans. 8 hours is completely different than 10 minutes, and there are no mentions of any specific places to bot. There is also nothing what-so-ever that states you have to be near the bot. There's even a specific setting on the GUI for users who are completely away from the computer while they are botting.

And as I've already said, repeatedly I might add, is that there's a difference between Jagex catching the bot and catching the behavior. When you break the Guidelines you leave a trace, while following them you do not, period.

You claim that something is not undetectable if you get caught and banned with it? So by your logic playing legitimately is not undetectable either, due to the fact that people HAVE been banned for botting when they've never done it.

This is exactly the kind of thing I'm talking about. Jagex can, have, and will ban if they see signs of behavior or play-time that they deem as inhuman or most likely a bot, even when you are human, or if your program replicates that of a human. This means that even though RiD passes as human, if you are breaking the Guidelines, you are giving Jagex ammunition to ban you.

 

Rid still uses something to control your mouse doesnt it? Isnt that considered a program? Im sure you are still running an exe. For rid. Please trent explain to me how rid is not a program because it controls your mouse. With this logic a ghost mouse isn't a program either.

I never said rid uses a client derp but it is still a program.
