Photoshop Guide: How to, make an animated .gif from a video clip.

In this guide I will be showing you how to make a video clip into an animated .gif using Photoshop. It is fairly simple to do but is useful and fun. So, enjoy the guide.




First off you are goign to need to get your video clip into Photoshop. To do so, you must go to File>Import>Video Frames to Layer and locate your video clip, like this:






Next, if you don't already have the Animation thing at the bottom of the screen like in the above picture...Go to Window>Animations and click it if it's not already checked. This is where it is at:






You should be able to see all the frames of the animation now...Basically, you have your video clip about finished now, and all you need to do is get the size adjusted and maybe also change the delay times. If you want to change the delay time just go here:






Now that you have everything fixed to your liking...to save it as an animated .gif you are going to need to go to File>Save for Web & Devices, like so:






I don't usually change anything in the next part, but if you need to for some reason, do so. Once done...just click save:






Now you are all done and should have a nice animated .gif on your computer to use for whatever you want. I hope you liked the guide and it helped you out!​
