Google may have just met it's match...

Microsoft recently released their very own search engine project and design and in my opinion, it's far better than their main competitor (Google) which doesn't offer a lot of the features that "Bing" does. Hell I'm so convinced I even changed my homepage to the Bing search engine, http://www.bing.com/

Don't be fooled by the severely fruity name, it's actually pretty decent. A couple examples are that in the image search, it displays the image in a new tab/window as opposed to in the same window and in the video search, by hovering over the video thumbnail, the video starts to play to give you a small preview...Not to mention that Bing is very attractive and actually quite fast.

Anyway, just thought I'd bring this to your attention, I strongly recommend making the switch ;)

Good features, but how is the actual searching? Is it going to give more accurate results that Google?

Possibly in the future as it has ad features similar to Google's. I'm not sure of the status of any bots as of yet, though. At the moment, it provides enough to use it as you would use Google ;D

No. Google will never have met it's match.

Even Microsoft won't be able to comprehend how much of the world Google will take over.

    GOOGLE WILL RULE THE WORLD!!!!!

No, really, I use Google as my homepage because it loads as fast as it takes to open my web browser. I click on the firfox icon in my taskbar, and it opens with google right there sorta like Opera's Speed Dial, only faster, and with more choices.

I strongly recommend not only not switching, but not supporting Microsoft product any more. =/.

    http://www.seoconsultants.com/search-engines/

All that work, and still not higher than 5% :p.

People love Google. The amount of services, the familiarity, etc. Microsoft just isn't equipped to take on people who focus on internet technology. Their browser sucks, their OS' sucks, and their search engine sucks :p.

The only thing Bing is good for is play clubbing, and ripping off Microsoft shit with bots.

It looks good, but I don't like the front page though.

A pic with the search bar inside of it kinda looks tacky I guess. But once you're in the search, it actually looks good.

Changing it to it my homepage also though :p

Google has been hacked many times. They usually shut it down for a few seconds while fixing it.

Bing is old shit. And sucky shit. Lot's of commercials, and not a lot of good stuff.

The live engine was horrible, I don't know how this is much better.

I've tried it, but some part of my body refuses me the ability to switch from Google to another search engine.

I'm assuming it uses the "popularity contest" technology that Google does? Meaning, it retrieves pages that are the most relevant and mentioned on the internet? If so, I don't see much reason to switch. Google is so simple, so quick, so efficient. I think I'll stick with it, it also has Gmail. Does this engine have a mail program too?

They also invested in more servers so that doesn't happen as easily.

    Same.

Everytime I'm not home and I need to find something I instantly type "google.com" in the address bar. At home I have a search bar that is set to Google.
