Star Wars: The Old Republic

Does anyone play this? Do you recommend getting into it?

I've always liked Star Wars themed stuff so this caught my eye. I used to play Battlefront all the time!

Lemme know your thoughts

 

It's kind of like every generic MMO, but it's still very good and has a strong community. I only played it for about a month though. But I still recommend giving it a go.

It's very MMO'ish. Like every MMO that eventually comes out and gets hyped up. They all try to bring something "new" to the table, but ends up being just a same old MMO just different theme and story etc etc.

Don't get me wrong, SWTOR is a very good/strong MMO, especially, and don't quote me, but isn't it F2P now?

I played it when it was sub based. Only played my first month, never played it again. Only reason why I gave it a go was because I used to get into Star Wars when I was younger.

But the same happened to me with The Elder Scrolls: Online.

That shit was hyped, even had me hyped. I built a $2.5k PC just to play it, had guilds etc already set up. I did this only because I was a huge fan of the TES series, and as they said all along. "It's just a TES game but with online"!

Bullshit.. Same generic go here and kill 12 of this and collect your 12 gold.

SWTOR has a great community, just don't go in guns blazing because you MIGHT get dissapointed. But if it's F2P, give it a go. It won't hurt you... Literally.

I gave it a shot, very generic and nothing special. There are others which I vastly prefer.

 

If your a huge fanboy of the starwars franchise go for it,


Otherwise dont. there's a reason it went F2P and is not doing well compared to other games.
