    Sound-cancelling software?

Okay so basically I've had some problems with headphones, and decided to buy a fixed stand mic.
Is there some software I can use that automatically cancels/mutes mic sound when pc speakers are outputting sound?

The ideal position for this microphone is right between my 2 speakers, which isn't ideal for the feedback they generate.

Is there software that can help me out?
I've been looking for a few hours to no avail.

No software is going to do it very well. Windows, Teamspeak, etc all support echo dampening but they don't do it very well. You really need to wear headphones if you use a mic whether the mic is in the headphones or freestanding.

Yeah figured as much. I just think it's strange that no program does it well since imo it shouldn't be that hard logic-wise?
If there's sound coming from program x - mute the mic. if there's no sound or below threshold of x dB - unmute mic

Or am I seeing this to be too easy?

I mean I don't think many people have that use case but that would be possible. Just use push to talk.

This is pretty niche, I don't know anyone who wouldn't just turn off the speakers and use headphones if they needed to use their mic
