Block ALL Runescape ads, in a different way.

Block ALL runescape advertisements.

I will teach you how to block all runescape advertisements (that means the ones on the site too.)

There is no program required and once its done it makes the ads stay blocked, unless you change it back.

This works for windows XP and I don't know if it would work on vista.

First go to this folder:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc

Replace the: "C" with your local drive letter.

Now open the file "hosts" with notepad or any other text editor. (should be the first file.)

And add this at the BOTTOM of the file:

#Block Runescape Advertisements
127.0.0.1       advert.runescape.com
#Block Runescape Advertisements

Then save the file and close.

Done. Now to reverse this simply delete the lines you added.

The ads should not load now.

Your welcome, you can also replace the: 127.0.0.1 with any website and it will show that website in the ad box.
