But still, I use a rubber and my girlfriend is on birth control. I am 18 and even though just one of those safety would probably be adequate, I do not want to ruin my life.

 

Just some advice....dont have sex without a condom ever... Itll ruin the whole condom experience

 

I know that this thread discusses the potential odds of having pregnancy and how minimal they can be if caution is taken. Call me old fashioned, but isn't it safer just to not have sex? I mean the risk is either having a child which is a blessing but if you're not in a good position financially or time-wise quite a burden, or there's abortion which as far as I'm concerned is killing a living being.

 

Have fun with that. I prefer not to live my life constantly being afraid of every potential risk.

I just finish in her mouth or pull out. I'd rather do that than wrap it. When it comes to a girlfriend, I always insist on birth control. I'll admit though that I often don't use a condom with other girls even when I have one on me. It's actually a bad habit, but I don't think I've knocked anyone up or gotten a disease. Although there might be a chance that I have HPV. I should probably get tested.

 

I take risks, but when it's a life we're talking about, I think it deserves the best.

 

Yeah but we're talking about sex here. Sex is a huge part of life for a lot of people. I can understand not riding a motorcycle or going skydiving considering the chances of dying is pretty high, but not having sex because you're scared of knocking some girl up is just absurd. Life does deserve the best, which is why you should not live in fear and should be able to do things that bring you pleasure without always being paranoid that something bad will happen. I just don't see why anyone would actually choose to not have sex because they're that scared. It's not like it's that difficult to not get a girl pregnant.
