Most big sellers won't accept PayPal or direct credit card. I would suggest PA if you want a good amount for a fair price.

 

Most website prices are insanely high as they give the illusion of safety, and therefore believe they can charge a lot more for that illusion.

Your best bet is buying from a reputable buyer here on Sythe within the market section.

Many will not take Paypal as a payment option from new members, although bank transfers (if in the same country) are usually accepted, as is doing the deal through PlayerAuctions

No one in there right mind will accept paypal from someone with less than 20 vouches, and if they do they're just asking to be charge-backed.
Go to playauctions, or start up some skilling service, get yourself vouches and you'll be able to buy via paypal with ease at good prices from other members that don't sell at like $.5/m

 

I've recently started accepting Paypal from 'untrusted' members and it's increased my profit by double. However I only take Paypal from people who're able to provide me ID matching the name on their Paypal account. But in all fairness you can't blame sellers on Sythe not wanting to take paypal from 'untrusted' membership since it pretty much is giving away gold.

A tip to anyone looking to buy gold or even start selling gold on Sythe is to offer other options then Paypal.
