Gaming Laptop

Hello everyone

I have a HP Pavillion laptop, and I find that when I play League it loves to overheat and randomly shut off.

This is just a general question, but what kind of laptop's do you use to play league? I'm looking for something affordable, but has good air ventilation, and doesn't overheat!

 

I use a Macbook when I'm at a friends house or not able to use my PC and it seems to work just fine. Try using lower settings

Just randomly shuts off? probably something to do with the graphics card unless you mean the whole laptop shuts down, then you should get that looked at

 

Yeah, the whole laptop shuts off and I have to wait for it to cool off generally before it even lets me turn it back on lol. Only does it with League though. I am able to play RuneScape and do everything else I do normally.

 

I recommend a msi gaming laptop but they are pricey.

 

Get some air duster and clean the fans.

 

I have an MSI, and have no problems playing league on the highest quality. I also use a fan to prevent it from overheating, and there hasn't been any problems in that domain except on a really hot day.

It works out really well and I play in high details with attleast 150-200 fps

 

Ehh, I have a Macbook and a PC, much prefer playing League on my PC.

Can't bind Command + Q on Mac's (Which is Alt + Q on PC), and Rito doesn't give the Mac client as much love as it should, the Windows client is MUCH better.

I have a decent Alienware that I use, you're probably just looking for any decent laptop that has an i5+ processor, 8GB RAM+, SSD, and a decent graphics card.

 

I have an AMD A8 laptop and I can run LoL at medium settings with 40+ fps constantly.

 

Desktop > Laptop

 

This just isn't true at all. I have both and at school I left my desktop at home. I love using my laptop over my desktop in every situation I'm in at this time.

On Topic:
I've been an avid lover of ASUS laptops I currently own two and there is literally nothing I can complain about with them. Honestly if you want performance in a laptop its all about the processor and graphics card(for gaming).(I've owned over 10 laptops in the past 6-7 years long story).

This is what I used right now on a pretty low budget for a gaming laptop. It works perfectly and I've had zero problems in the last year I've had it. Zero heating issues ever plus its pretty quiet, the only real thing I guess that sucks is it doesn't have a port for your Headset other than the Aux cable, but the built in headset is pretty good my friends have said over Skype (it honestly picks up noise a little too good apparently).

 

Don't get me wrong, I love laptops. But a lot of laptops just simply can't handle what a desktop can. Laptops are convenient for moving around but if you're going to spend $1k+ on a computer then you'll definitely get more for your buck going with a desktop. This is just my personal opinion, you don't have to agree

 

I have a desktop now but I used to play League perfectly fine on my Alienware M14x laptop
