Best Melee Armor?

I am 75 Defense. I do not plan on raising that either.

I see that dragon boots are worthless now, which means they probably do not give a great bonus.

What armor should I wear to achieve the greatest bonus's?

What does everyone recommend. Thanks.

 

Bandos is the best for you I believe. That new armour that they are making with the tzhaar gm quest is 80 def requirement, but you don't intend on that, i'd stick with bandos (boots as well)

Would you say that the bandos helmet is better than the neit helm then?

 

I'd go with the neit helm, tbh. Bandos is overall much better, but I prefer the sexy strength bonus + extra prayer ;p

 

Since the EOC update there is no strength bonus. It does however give an extra 2 prayer bonus over Bandos Helmet. The Bandos Helmet is quite a bit better for Armour Rating and Health Bonus though.

 

I personally choose all of the God Wars Armor for general PvM like slaying. That means full bandos, full armady, or full subjugation. However, I do substitute for all 3 types of gloves/boots a set of dragon rider gloves/boots. They are cheap and provide only 30 less lp/armour, but they do offer some pray bonus to offset the use of soul split and turmoil all the time.

As Jack said, there is basically no armor anymore that has a strength bonus.
