Bandits with guthans

I'm training defence 93-99 at bandits probably going out on limb here but barrows wears down 100% after 15hrs of combat I'm 450k from 94 defence how far do you think I could get before I have to fix it the fist time. How many times will I have to fix it?

 

I can't really answer your question unfortunately, but I wanted to offer a suggestion.

Although Guthan's can be nice, it is much faster and more effective to train at bandits with prayer potions & a few prayer renewals instead. This allows you to change up your gear to have the best possible combination of strength & prayer gear, and then use the potions to train while using protect from melee. It is not THAT expensive, and you will end up hitting much, much harder and reach 99 defence alot faster.

Just thought I would offer that suggestion. I am a "veteran" when it comes to training at bandits I have spent countless hours training there, and I started using Guthan's too before I found better methods of training there.

 

Thanks for the advice. I'll probably end up switching it up. As for now I'm loving the complete afk with bunyip and guthans.

 

with the new dominion tower, you can basically 'afk' count dracula. He's low hp, rarely hits (at your def level and decent gear). It's roughly about the same xp / hr. Also, it's free.
If you don't pick up the stake and hammer, you can just keep killing him over and over as he will regain hp.

 

I did this on a older account a few months back.. I suicied the account by leaving him at giant spiders in Stronghold with full guthans. I went from like 82 or 83 defence to 99 pretty fast!

 

I have to get some quests done to enter the tower. I think it's like 3. I'll have to check that out also. Thanks guys

 

This is your BEST bet, it's free and it's fairly quick, if you choose this method, you use basically no money, you can AFK as long as you'd like, and you don't need to worry because it's a safe minigame.

 

About this you use your own gear correct? Wasn't there a glitch when it first came out with people losing their items? I'll probably go bandits to 95 then go and switch things up a bit and this is looking more and more interesting.

 

How much exp can you get at the DT compared with Bandits? Interested.

 

I haven't heard of such a glitch, the odds of you dying to the level 20 or so is very very low anyway.

 

Dominion tower dracula as stated is CURRENTLY a very good method.
