    I was just curious how true this was.. I had never heard of it or anything about it.

    RuneScape 3 has been confirmed for a summer release, with a move to a brand-new HTML5 engine that will improve the MMO's graphics. Rather than a brand-new game in itself, the new title will be an upgrade to the hugely popular RuneScape 2, so you'll be able to use your existing login details to play.

    The HTML5 engine, which uses WebGL, is the big news, as it will dramatically improve the way the game looks and feels. Jagex, RuneScape's developer, has promised that as well as more detailed graphics, there'll be longer draw distances. An older Java client will still exist for people that can't support the HTML5 version.

    In addition, the audio has had an overhaul, with a fully-orchestrated soundtrack. Jagex is also promising a world-changing content update, although it's holding details of the exact changes close to its chest.

    "RuneScape 3 is a massive update to RuneScape building on 12 years of content to make improvements on all fronts. RuneScape 3 is going to run faster, look better and feel so much more immersive," said Phil Mansell, executive producer of RuneScape.    ​

    Just my thought, they have nothing to do with RuneScape 3.
    But yes RuneScape three is officially coming :)

    I agree... so thankful for rs07... BTW does anyone know if the jagex account guardian thing work for rs07 as well?
