Agreed. I'm the same age and in all honesty nobody our age really thought twice about it since we were more focused on college applications, finding a girlfriend, and all that typical HS stuff.

The only reason why I'd want to be born later would be for medical advancements. For example, for all I know, I or a loved one may be stricken with cancer later down the line, and there most likely won't be any treatments for it. However I'm fairly positive in due time there'll be far more efficient ways to combat the disease which I won't be around to see.

The world isn't overpopulated, certain areas are overpopulated. The human race is too damn bright to be gone in 200 years time.

Eh, content living now. Technology is pretty advance. I can tap this little device in my pocket a couple of times and get close to anything I want these days.

    Beat that, Dark Ages.

But the real question is, will the humanity still be alive after 200 years?

Not really on-topic, but even if you were born a year or two earlier or later than you were, you're life would probably be completely different in some cases.

OT: I think it's awesome they are increasing technology and finding new and undiscovered ways of doing things. When you see something that seems meaningless it's actually just a small step in increasing our knowledge and association and working towards something larger and more important. I don't wish I lived in any other year because I'm fine with how everything functions on a day to day basis, and I don't want any part of the increasing technology bullshit (fingerprint unlock for iPhone, cars that drive themselves, wtf right?) even though I think it's interesting and needed for the way the world is going.

Yes. There is no immediate danger that would question our existence in 200 years.

I like being born when I was. We have a lot of technology and a lot of luxuries. I feel in 200-400 years, homo sapians will cease to exist. There will be some nuclear war or mass destruction that destroys us all.

Assuming the future wasn't this, I would love to SEE the future, but I think I would rather stay where I am now. I am content with my present life.

I honestly think there's a very slim chance that humans will go extinct in 200-400 years as some of you seem to think. True that there are more powerful nuclear weapons and such, but I highly doubt anything will cause widespread extinction in less than a millenia's time.

It is hard to comment on such topics because WWIII could break out in another 100 years. We can't see into the future.

I like where im at now that i think about it.
I mean i was born in the 90's and just seeing how much technology has advanced in just 20 years is really amazing and seeing how we're still fairly novice when it comes to technology,Imagine what the next 20 years can bring.

    The world right now sucks.

I'd love to live in a time of greater scientific and technological advancement. Considering I'm studying now to be one of the people who input and directly affect scientific advancement, it'd be interesting to see the horizons of what I were capable of achieving in my field.

With every force is a resistance. I'd likely 007 as a member of the resistance and be able to do all kinds of cool, secretive, and dangerous things for the sake of the savior of humanity in wake of evils who use money and power to take control of the world.

It's interesting to think about this because the future is so unknown. I have heard there is prep for a group of people to travel to mars to begin starting a new society.
With how fast we are polluting the world and how much we destroy, I wouldn't be surprised if the world was unlivable in 200+ years. We will never know...

This topic is actually interesting. To those of you who say "in 100 living conditions will be worse", you're wrong. For starters, if you're worried about over-population, wars occur too often. We don't need to worry about that for awhile, also there are other ways it can be prevented. Anyways, saying this is nothing but spam.

I think living in the future could be nice. Now this isn't really a debate topic, but something where you can see what's going on in others mind about the matter. Seeing how technology evolves and advances throughout my 17 years is pretty astonishing. To think in over a hundred years what would be out, what would be in the works, it'd be a whole different thing. That said though, I'd prefer to be born where I'm at.
