Basic question really. Is cata good?

I used to play wow about 9 month's back, me and my friend moved back to runescape as we got a little bored of killing alliance in Stormwind every night.

What is cata like?
what is new?
Is PvP arena good?

anyone who plays i would like to here from you

What is cata like? A lot like Vanilla, takes a lot more dedication / skill, the way the game should be. More CC, Epics are harder to get ect.

what is new? Everything.

Yeah cata's pretty sweet. I play a DW frost DK and we've gotten a good cut this xpack. As for the gearing process much like Vanilla. Takes much longer than wrath to gear, been playing since launch and im only 357 ilvl.

 

Cata is really good and there are a lot of new things on runescape like the new free trade and pvp for example.

 

I'm not a huge fan of this expansion thus far, way too many class changes in every hotfix.

Flying around in the barrens trolling the people that are leveling is fun

 

Yeah I'm not a fan of this xpac. While the leveling and steeper raiding/gearing curve is nice they havnt managed to balance classes effectively, thus as tiger said the constant class changes. This is starting to settle down though.

It also seems that they have completely forgotten about the lower levels in the game. I don't know if anyone here has tried to tank a 15-25 dunegeon as a feral druid or prot pal but you are really not equipped with the movesto do so. The same goes for shaman and druid heals (post HT -> Nourish change).

Pvp is also incredible skewed at low levels. If you have no BoAs you have no ho[e, and if you do and youre not a hunter priest (500hp bubble at level 15 wut) or paladin (flash of light heals more then a shamans healing wave at half the cast time and 1.3x the mana cost) you have no hope. Seems cata has broken low levels imo in ways that they avoided in BC/WotLK xpacs.

 

Cata is amazing.

As someone said more like Vanilla than anything else.

 

I played the 7 day free trial, and it was pretty boring for me.

I haven't played at level 85 though, and that's when cata really just begins, I just had no motivation to level to 85.

 

I really like cata so far..80-85 was great,I like the raids so far (can't give too much input because I'm only 5/6 in BWD :/)...haven't really done much pvp in cata..the heroics are much harder from wraths..(presuming you're doing them at the appropriate gear level) give it a try,there is a 7 day trial I think.

 

Raids are great in cata, really require absolute attention from every member of your raid, which makes them much more challenging and fun than wrath raids. I suggest finding a guild, pugs aren't nearly as organised.

 

It's not that raids weren't difficult in Wrath, they just became more easy mode as most came out, end game raids will ALWAYS be hard, cause I'd say heroic ICC's were still challenging even with end-game gear (minus the gunship lmao)

 

I canceled both my subscriptions because of this expansion.
It takes way to damn long to gear up they should of made it like WoTLK were normal raids were easy and heroics for people who like it hard.
