Barrack Obama IAMA thread on Reddit.

So Barrack Obama created a thread on Reddit today answering people's questions. What do you guys think about this? Do you think it's actually him answering the questions? I personally have heard that he has people answering the questions for him, which makes sense. Also, do you think this was a smart move on his part for the upcoming election?

I think it was a very smart move on his part to draw some attention away from the RNC. Let's just hope and pray that he gets re-elected in November.

 

I think it's great to see politicians, and almost anyone of important power using the internet. It's so much easier to access for everyone.

 

It's smart to reach the young people.

It is quite obvious that it was all just a bunch of bullshit he used to appear more relate-able to all the people on the internet, but I still give him props for doing it. Plus I really enjoyed his last statement:

 

I noticed. Dishonesty aside, it was probably an aide, not the president himself. I can't imagine him making so many grammatical errors, forgetting to capitalize his wife's name, etc.

 

He also only replied to a whopping 10 questions, and completely dodged the hard hitters.

And now I have to deal with the front page of my Reddit covered in Obama posts, talking about this marvellous experience that Obama graced Reddit with that shaped their lives and blessed their children. Like those 10 answers even mattered. Just a small little ploy to get the youth vote and make Obama look hip.

It is an interesting fact check of Ryan's speech from the RNC.

 

He can use a computer meaning he is more relatable than Mr "I use the google to find my ranch" guy.

If he was doing it himself he could have made errors. He was answering questions fairly quickly and if he took time to figure out what to say it would have cut into proofreading time. But, I don't know why someone (or two) wouldn't proofread the comments before they got posted...

 

I didn't like it that much. Even though he did say he was only going to do an AMA for like 30 minutes, I thought there would be more questions answered. I wish he could have had more time, but he's probably a busy guy. It's funny how the entire front page now is about Obama, and how he overloaded the site servers, and crashed Reddit. But, this was a smart move for him, Reddit is huge, and has a lot of young members.

Pretty smart if you ask me. He's targeting an age group that isn't specifically addressed in most political campaigns. Good work campaign manager

 

Definitely a move to snatch up the youth voters. This makes him look much more relatable than Romney. I do think the questions he answered were bullshit answers, he dodged all the pressing questions. Hopefully when (if) he gets elected, he will answer all the politically unpopular questions such as the ones asked on the AMA
