Banned for Macro... didnt bot?

Back when osrs started up i know for a fact that people who played alongside bots were sometimes wrongfully banned but everyone thinks its just them pretending they didnt bot =P i lost an account with 94 fishing because i decided to break from leaping fish and do lobsters sid fuck it and havent played till i started back up a week ago lol

Was talking to the OP, because if he bots on another account sometimes they ban your other accounts too, especially if you bot for gp on a noob and trade to a main.

 

I also got wrongfully banned, it was for Macroing and Goldfarming and happened in march 2013. It was during a bot banning wave, I posted on the forums and sent ban appeals with no success. About a week later, they issued a statement saying there was about 2000 players who accidently got banned by the Botwatch system and they would be working on lifting the permanent bans on these 2000 acounts. Some time later, they released another statement saying that they've succesfully unbanned every of the 2000 concerned accounts but my account was still banned. I posted again on the forums today and sent 2 emails to Jagex. Hopefully they'll finally unban me this time.

 

I would reset your IP and only bot in a virtual machine.

No, they won't look into your ban, I have had 3 of my major accounts banned for botting even though I never botted once, must have been my flagged ip or something, but they don't even look @ macro appeals.
