High Pardon – Scamming back in 2011

I’ve wanted to do this for a while now as it has been on my conscience for some time, especially since I started work a little over 5 months ago and actually had a means to repay what I had stolen.

What I am guilty of is scamming the sythe user a slim dog for around 600m worth of RSGP and dropping some of his untradeable items that had value.

It all started around this thread http://www.sythe.org/questing-torso...-barbarian-assualt-gear-lvl-5-everything.html. Eventually I ended up doing this service for a slim dog in exchange for $120 and I did so, obtaining all of the gear swiftly given the circumstances of being at school and the like. Some time later a slim dog discussed wanting to have someone get him 99 prayer legitimately (not via botting) and he was thinking of getting either me or blazinshock do it (who is consequently banned currently so he did make the better choice of the two of us). Ultimately he sided with me and he sent me $120 pp in order to train his prayer to 99, he had all the bones and what-not there already. Here is where my immaturity took hold and upon witnessing around 600m of items/RSGP up for grabs, I got money hungry. That day I barely trained his prayer, feigning being busy as I didn't want to burn what could possibly be my RSGP on another persons account. The next day I created a new MSN account, jack--[email protected] which was an imposter of my one at the time which only had 1 hyphen. Unfortunately, a slim dog fell for the ruse in which I told him sythe was down for me and that he should re-send me the account details there so I couldn't be held accountable as he had willingly given his details to jack--[email protected] which was not linked to me in any way. From there I progressed to trade all of the valuables over to my own account. I dropped his barbarian assault gear too in the hope that he would have me obtain it again for him (he showed interest but eventually decided not too). I then let some random from runescape onto the account to hide the last logged onto IP to cover my tracks.

I decided to PM a slim dog on the 3rd of November after having put it off a lot to make amends to no avail, he hadn't used Sythe in about half a year. By chance I found myself wandering through some of my old MSN chat logs that I still have and saw his email listed. I emailed him on the 24th of December and promptly received a reply. I made my apology to him and organized a repayment for the future of $200 USD. I later went on vacation and thinking about it at the time I realized that the items dropped weren't actually accounted for, just the RSGP that was stolen. After discussing it with a slim dog I upped the repayment to $275 USD. This was paid in full on the morning of 18th of January, 2014. It is shown in this screenshot http://puu.sh/6oon4.png.

I am sorry for my actions Sythe. I have already profusely apologized to you a slim dog, but I am truly sorry. Asides from a slim dog, perhaps the person I am sorry to the most is Zerkerfist. Jazz was such a cool guy and honestly, without him I wouldn't even be on Sythe today considering he was the main driving force behind my dispute. Ultimately I was innocent in that whole fiasco but it still sucked lying to you by omission, I'm sorry man. Especially when you post things like this that are so beautiful.

It feels good having finally gotten this off of my chest despite now being down around $350 NZD. I have changed and matured a lot as an individual since 2011. I am working, have finished school, heading to university later this year and am getting into the world of fitness (currently cutting). In line with this, making amends is a crucial step. Over my tenure on Sythe.org I have done a lot for the site including actively posting around the forums, aiding several members, writting several stickys, heading the community development team for several months, being responsible for several approved suggestions to now where I mostly just bring the lols and carry the spam forum. I have donated $115 to the site, obtained the rank of Official Middleman, been voted the overall #1 user of 2012 along with the most community involved of 2012 as well as winning several categories within MOTM.

Now I emplore you, staff of sythe, to support my pardon.

Jesus christ... I'm actually super taken back by this. I really do with this had been posted before you were given OMM and such. I don't like seeing this pardon especially because of everything you meant to this site, however, people obviously change and I FULLY support this pardon.

Though, if pardoned, I'd like to see the OMM rank removed, and to see you going through a re-application process if you're indeed pardoned.
