Scammed by SummerGrindin

Dear Honorable Staff,

May I please get leniency with my recent ban? No question, I 100% broke the rules, but I promise I had no idea that embarking on a scammer witch hunt is against the rules. I was notified by a fellow Sythe member shortly after I posted the information, that it is a bannable offence namely doxing, and I immediately deleted the information. I wasn't thinking clearly and was acting emotionally, as someone I thought I could trust stole from me. Perhaps if I was in a state of more clarity, I would have realized that posting personal information would not accomplish anything. I guess I was desperately hoping that he would return the funds he stole from me.

I have been a member of the forum for almost a decade now and do my best to abide by the rules. Granted I am only active when I want to conduct a trade and I haven't read every sticky, including the one regarding doxing. I've seen multiple witch hunts go unpunished (and they are a common occurrence in other forums), so I foolishly assumed that this was fine. I now realize my mistake.

I've learned my lesson and will read every sticky before posting in a section. I don't believe banishing from the forums for a month will solve any problems, as the problem was the lack of my awareness and not the intent to break the rules.

I would love to be able to access the forum as it is a privilege not a right, that I take very seriously.

Thank you for your consideration,
goedler
