Well your Guide wasnt verified from a Official Guide Verifier (anyway the Mod should have told you that), so the lock is valid but I'd say your guide was legit and you should be allowed to sell it

 

The thing with merchanting is that it will not always work. There are trends in the market, and prices rise/drop every day. What you may tell a person to do in order to make money might work one day, but not the other. It is mostly common knowledge anyways.

 

Merchanting guides are more or less always the same. These type of guides are leaked all the way across the web, and everyone has a miniscule spin to theirs which makes it "unique". Flipping was initially added as an umbrella to cover the whole category of merching, I simply clarified it.

Lastly, not all mods can verify guides, only people on the official list can do so.

tl;dr:

1. Guide was wrongly verified (mods that are illegally verifying guides have been PMed)
2. guide type is leaked across the web
3. guide type is on dns list.
