Avatar File Size Limit?

[Alex_J_Leon]

I cannot find a limit on the file size... can someone tell me what the limit is and perhaps put it into the rules next to the avatar dimensions?

Just use this if you want a bigger one: http://www.sythe.org/donor-lounge/1497003-avatar-request-thread.html

I was told the file size itself was too large =p. It was 1.9 MB, which I understand is large considering it is an avatar.

Edit: I did some editing and now I'm down to 1.13 MB >.>

Someone tell me ahhhh I don't want my Squirtle looking any uglier!

Edit2: It went through suhweeet. I'm going to assume the limit is 1MB then -wink- thanks.

I believe the limit is 1MB

[Azie]

try contacting Nano about it as he does a lot of avatars

I already have the avatar up, no worries. I reduced the file size by 51% =d

looks a little bit rusty :/

Well, when I got it down to 2MB it was already so very degraded... so when I took it down more I lost a lot, but I still got to have the avatar I wanted!

It's a bit choppy but I'm sure you can google a website that can condense images/gifs and make them smaller, while still obtaining the same speed level.

And since you got the avatar you wanted, time for a close topic, yeah?

Yeah sure report it I guess... I'm too lazy... the unofficial answer for anyone who googles this is 1MB (I think I'm the only one who's tried to upload a huge gif =p).

I don't really mind the quality right now... I might make a better version later =p.
