Automatic mutes for saying RSBots.net

Beav3r · Oct 30, 2011

You now get automatically muted on rs for saying "rsbots.net"

Go ahead and try it, may take a few minutes to take happen.

I did not find this

Savvir · Oct 30, 2011

Yea, I was talking to some people and said it; don't know if I got muted though.

That's pretty interesting, how did you come about this? Also how long are you muted for?

It two days and there's a few threads about it in other forums.

Are you sure someone didn't just report you?

Create a new account and try it yourself, go to an empty place and say it, log out and in and you'll be muted.

Zerkeronrs7 · Oct 30, 2011

Hahaha I'm going to trick people into saying this

Good update, now when I rage-quit and want to keep quiet I can just get myself muted.

T V · Oct 30, 2011

Seems like they're pretty desperate lol

KevinW · Oct 30, 2011

Oh it's 2 days, I think i will do it for the jokes

Does anyone know if it counts as a black mark?

Beav3r · Oct 30, 2011

I don't think so.. But I can't confirm.

Zerkerfist · Oct 30, 2011

That is just weird

Do you have to say it in public chat, or can you get muted for sending rsbots.net in a PM to a friend? I didn't even realize there were words or phrases in the game that would just auto mute you like that. Kinda bs IMO.

Sanctuary · Oct 30, 2011

Is this the same for other bot sites?
