AutoIt worth the time invested?

I've been getting mixed reviews regarding AutoIt and its reliability. Then I stumbled on this forum. I'm aware that getting banned is an immediate threat, but otherwise, I'd still like to know the opinion of more experienced botters. Was planning on making my own script with AutoIt, and would like to know your opinion guys.

Hey, I've actually have coded with AutoIt before. Although I do think it is a pretty easy language to learn it is somewhat limited in what it can do. It is mainly designed for automating "Windows Programs" (read more here).

In any case, there's this game called "C9-Continent of the Ninth Seal" that I coded a script for. It was used to farm for items in dungeons. However this game actually didn't manage its system for bots as much--as the game has a low player base.

So to sum up your question, I would have to say that you should probably look to a different scripting language for coding. It would be possible to code a decent script using this language however, it would take a considerable amount of time since movements and keystrokes would need a lot of scripting to make it human-like as the function it has for mouse movement is very automated. Also, I highly recommend that even if you did make a bot you shouldn't use this scripting language as it would be easily detected by Jagex. It uses pixel detection based on basic color functions.

If you want a bot for Runescape, learn to script for one of the many scriptable bots that are out there. AutoIt is a total and utter waste of time.
