Auto fill for Scam reports?

This idea came from www.rsbots.net forums.:idea:

When you go to their forums, and you click Bot Support, and you select what bot you are using, it goes to a regular thread.
You click New Thread
And it shows this

We can somehow implement that into the RaS section (When you create a new topic about a scammer/evader)
It would cut down on people not posting properly, so much.

 

Complete support, gives consistency in evidence rather than some people posting little evidence, and some posting loads.

 

1. Im not sure if you can do this on vBulletin
2. Not all scam reports will fit under specific titles, some will just be for ban evaders, so in evidence you wouldnt be able to fit anything in
3. If someone does not have stuff to put for all the different titles, they may not think that their report will be looked at, or that it will be enough, when sometimes it will be enough. Like if it says "pictures of msn chat:" "pictures of runescape trade:" "picture of paypal:" and they only had 2 of those 3, it might be enough evidence, but they might not post it because they think it will be a waste of time, and won't get the person banned.

I think it's fine as it is, but it could work quite well using an Auto fill.

And there has to be evidence of evader.
Links to the same msn address on 2 different accounts, or just leave it blank.

This cannot happen on Sythe.org. We need to update VB, and that won't be happening any time soon.

 

Personally i think the current reports get thro enough information with minimal reading, which helps the Mods get through them quicker

 

Then you must have missed the 8 pages of shit in the RaS section.

75% of the people don't include all info, and don't even use the guidelines.

 

This is very true! I think it would be beneficial for those new to the site who don't know the process reporting a scammer. Only problem with new members is that if they won't read the guidelines they most likely won't read what template to use :s

Few posts in somebody explains how to do it, it may be a bit different since I don't know which version of vbulletin he was using, but the last reply to the thread says it worked for him on 3.6.4, which is the same version sythe is using.

 

By that I'm guessing sythe is using a cracked version of vb?

Sythe isn't using cracked VB. But 3.6.4 is old. 4 has been out for a long time already.

Can't there be a plugin made for this version?

 

sythe.org makes too much $ off the ads/donations to be using a cracked version :/

 

Current system is perfectly fine.

 

Whether this can be implemented is one thing, but if it can I fully support it - most Sythe members posting in these sections don't have the mental capability to read the guidelines or use templates.

It would dramatically aid in hastening things up for the moderators in my opinion.

No.. check the RaS section, count how many reports there are, then count how many reports are following the guidelines.

 

This is the best suggestion I have seen in awhile. It would prevent so much hassle. That does suck that it doesn't work with out current VB version though :\ Would have been really helpful and save time for reporters and mods.
