Australian Membership via SMS Query

if you're from australia.. you might understand what i'm talking about.
-you understand that SMS membership is AUS$16.99.
-you understand that (for example) i pay $30 prepaid and get $120 credit in return.

understanding this.. i follow by asking this question..

me texting for membership paying $16.99 worth of the credit.. would that deduct it from the $120 or would something else happen.. and THEREFORE Would membership technically only be costing me 1/4 of the $16.99 due to the boost from $30 to $120 in credit (4x30=120)?

Ill help on this one. You are paying 30 dollars. You are gettin 120 dollars worth correct? But runescape deducts 16.99 as you have said. The 120 is just a promotion im guesing from optus. They arnt adding extra value to the 30 dollars they are just giving you more for your money. 120 dollars is the amount worth of text + calls, its not worth 120 in real life. So when runescape deducts from the sms it will deduct from the 30 as thats all you have put in.

 

but i'll still have the left over 103$ which includes the promotional value right?

 

I am with optus on the turbocharge plan.
$30 = $120.
It deducts from the $30.
You can only buy one pin with a $30 recharge.

I did this last week.
You get the pin :]

Oh almost forgot.
Don't try to purchase if you have less then the cost of the pin.
It takes the remander of your credit and you don't receive the pin.
